Activlash

Overall Success Rate: 80%
Last Reviewed: May 11, 2013Activlash is an eyelash growth serum that aims to promote long, gorgeous, and healthy-looking lashes regardless of “how brittle, short, fragile, thin, or sparse your eye lashes are.”
It boasts of having several natural key ingredients, including panthenol, vitamin/flavonoid complex, bioengineered polypeptides, swertia herb extract, green tea and grape seed extracts, pantethine, glycoprotein, and bilberry extract. These works on different levels to favor eyelash growth and improvement – glycoprotein, for instance, targets increased blood flow to “inspire” the hair follicles, while the green tea and grape seed extracts offer antioxidant protection.

How to Use
Activlash is applied similar to eyeliner, along the base of the lashes. After application, allow the product to dry for several minutes. Once dry, you may apply your normal mascara or eye makeup. Product can be used in the morning or night, and its manufacturer states that it doesn’t interfere with your regular mascara and eye makeup.
Positive and Negative Points
PROS
- Once-a-day application
- Product can be worn under eye makeup
- Gentle formulation
- Natural conditioners to maximize eyelash growth potential
CONS
- Results are hardly achieved within two weeks, as the Activlash website promotes
- Contains paraben
- Does NOT offer clinical studies
- No money back guarantee or free trial presented
Activlash hardly stands out in the pack of eyelash growth treatments today, and this is made doubly disappointing by the fact that it explicitly labels itself as an eyelash growth product. We’ve been looking for clinical studies supporting its claims, but to no avail.
As for personal use, we were giddy at the thought of the promised results within two weeks of use. We willingly gave in, but again felt a tinge of disappointment when we saw improving fullness yet the same normal length. Given its good packaging and position on the market today, Activlash needs to revisit its claims and make the necessary changes to stay faithful to its claims and desired customer base. We’re hoping that its natural key ingredients – green tea and bilberry extracts, to name a few – wouldn’t be for naught.
