Neulash Summary

Last Updated: August 16, 2014

We can’t help but agree with this strong statement from the NeuLash website: The multitude of mechanical aggressors such as mascaras, eyelash curlers, make-up removers, tinting/perm treatments, false eyelashes/glues, and medications all weaken our eyelashes. NeuLash, manufactured by Skin Research Laboratories is touted as an advanced eyelash technology that provides “maximum protection” through the interaction of vitamins, essential proteins, and “moisturizing and rejuvenating ingredients.” The appearance of lashes is poised to improve, along with their shine and elasticity.

Among its main ingredients are Bioengineered Octa/Copper/Oligo Peptides, a combination of amino acids that are promoted to help naturally enhance the beauty of your eyelashes.

How to Use

Begin with a clean, dry eye area, where you will apply neuLash to the base of the upper eyelash (starting from the inner corner of the eye to the outer corner) using the applicator brush. Use NeuLash once daily in the evening before you sleep. Once desired results are achieved, continue using it twice or thrice weekly for maintenance. Word of caution: wait for the product to fully dry before adding cosmetics, and seek doctor’s advice if you’re pregnant, nursing, being treated for any eye-related condition, or undergoing cancer treatment.

Positive and Negative Points

PROS

  • Pays attention to lash weakness and brittleness
  • Details benefits of individual ingredients
  • Free shipping within the US

CONS

  • Steep price
  • Sheer lack of testimonials
  • Lacks scientific backing for its claims, including its Before and After photos
  • Eyebrow enhancement not targeted (need to also buy its sister product to handle that job)

Perhaps the biggest come-on of NeuLash as an eyelash growth engineer is its “natural” components, including vitamins and peptides that work synergistically to bring you nothing less that lash heaven. But we need a little more convincing – and it’s cost-prohibitive, yet doesn’t publish data of its clinical studies and is quite stingy with customer testimonials. At any rate, we’re eyeing a great team here: NeuLash and neuveauBrow, its well-loved sister product for fuller-looking eyebrows (though we’re a bit peeved that they didn’t simply combine both benefits in a single powerhouse).

For all its faults (big and small), NeuLash might be worth the try, especially with the special offers on its site that could make it tempting if you have extra cash for experimenting.
